Stella McCartney, who has long been an activist for animal rights, sells canvas linen, Lucite and imitatin leather shoes and handbags. However she is not the only one rethinking luxury labels. Even though - one has to admit - her name just stands out. Check out fashion products made by Moral Fervor, NaturevesFuture or MooShoes.
Should you live in New York City here are a few choices:
- OrganicAvenue on 101 Stanton Street in the LES
- NY Artificial, Eighth Avenue @ West 12 Street
- MooShoes, 152 Allen Street
- Kaight, 83 Orchard Street

I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to post an article about cruelty-free fashion. So many people don't even give a single thought to what they are wearing or to the immense suffering and death that occurred just so they could enjoy a leather jacket, fur coat, wool sweater, etc. Keep up the awesome blog! And if you have a chance, visit my blog at http://veganvoice.blogspot.com !!

I live in NYC and I know some of these stores. I personally love NY ARTIFICIAL. They don't like to wear the flag of VEGAN or VEGETARIAN, but they have and make the best of all Vegan Handbag Stores. NO PVCs, NO PLASTICS, SWEATSHOP FREE. They actually give some of their profits to many different good cause organizations from around the world. AND THEY DON'T ADVERTISE IT.
I love their products and their philosophy. We need more people like them. Good Kharma.
